Research at the EHB

Research and knowledge transfer
Research and knowledge transfer at EHB are based on problem-focussed interdisciplinarity within the social, health and educational sciences (SAGE). Due to the high level of complexity in these areas, a wide range of transfer activities have been developed. The EHB's profile as a research-intensive and transfer-oriented university is based on its knowledge transfer strategy. This has enabled the professionalisation with regard to the implementation of knowledge transfer, the systematisation of our profile and the communication of activities that need to be advanced and expanded (third mission).
The EHB is represented on the HRK (German Rectors’ Conference) research map with its two focal areas when it comes to research:
- Diversity in education, social and health care
- Social cohesion in the fields of social affairs, health and education/upbringing
University lecturers at EHB who are interested in research are regularly informed about current research calls. Research-active university lecturers are supported when it comes to the processing of research proposals as well as preparing funding plans. Representatives of practical institutions can contact both the Research Officer and the Third Mission Officer when looking for adequate academic partners at EHB.
